2) How we use your data
When you browse our website
Visiting faurby.com means cookies may be used to gather data about your visit. This helps us personalise your experience, improve the content we deliver, and track marketing and site performance statistics.
Collected data may include your IP address, time of access, referring website, pages viewed, links clicked, features used, and details about your browser, language preferences, or device. In this context, Faurby acts as the Data Controller. For full details, please see our [Cookie Policy].
When you fill out a contact form
If you send us a message through one of our online contact forms, we will request your name, phone number, address, email address, and information relevant to your Faurby or your enquiry.
We use this data to respond appropriately, provide requested details about our products or services, and follow up as needed to ensure satisfaction. This is based on our legitimate interest in offering helpful and complete information.
Your inquiry may be sent by email to the relevant Faurby team members. Where relevant, we may share it with a Faurby Dealer, who would then become the Data Controller for their handling of your request.
We retain contact form data for up to 2 years, after which it is deleted.
When you request service or winter storage
If you request service or winter storage through our website, we will ask for your name, contact details, Faurby or vessel information, requested services, and your planned arrival time.
This information helps us prepare for your visit and provide the service you've requested. We may also reach out to confirm the details or ensure satisfaction with our response—again, based on legitimate interest.
Your request is sent via email to relevant Faurby service center personnel. If needed, we may share the information with a Faurby Dealer to better assist you. In such cases, the dealer acts as the Data Controller.
We retain service request data for 2 years, after which it will be deleted.
When you sign up for our newsletter
To subscribe, we collect your name, email address, and your consent. This data is stored on secure Mailchimp servers in the USA and will be kept for as long as you wish to receive our emails—sent 12–15 times per year.
Your email address is used only for this newsletter. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@faurby.com or clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of any email.
3) Data Security: SSL Encryption
